We introduce Lieutenant Colonel Wolverton to our visitors: this officer, who met a tragic fate, is a symbol of the price paid by many men for freedom. School Groups

Welcome to a new dimension called edutainment – welcome to D-Day Experience. Do not teach History: make your students experience it.

Based on a scenography designed to this purpose, D-Day Experience is the first and only immersive museum dedicated to the Normandy invasion. Our collections, unique in the world, are entirely composed of genuine artefacts from the period – most of them being directly related to their former owner’s destiny. Moreover, the highlight of your visit consists in an accelerated crossing of the Channel aboard a real C-47 Skytrain, which has been converted into a realistic flight simulator – an experience everyone will surely remember. Extend the immersion in our giant-screen 3D movie theater: thanks to a 36-minute long documentary, you will learn about the ins and outs of the landings, the battle for Carentan and the battle of Normandy as a whole. Live History alongside the Allied troops!

D-Day Experience’s objective consists in passing on History to current and future generations through the paratroopers’ destiny. The immersive nature of the exhibitions allows a clear and pedagogical explanation of the strategic importance of the battle for Carentan, which remains a major yet unknown historical event.

Educational booklets for primary and secondary school students are available online, as well as their correction. Adapted to different age groups, our booklets have been designed under supervision of a History teacher to offer an elaborated and appropriate tool.
